Protective Twins [Ouran Host Club x Yuji!Reader]
Chapter 11
It was another sleepless night for (Y/n), getting up seemed more painful as time progressed. Ever since getting out of the hospital, he couldn't get a decent sleep. Perhaps nightmares of what happened? Or the sheer terror he felt when losing Honey in a literal jungle, he still blames himself for what happened that day.
Slowly, (Y/n) groaned as he rolled off the bed, landing with a loud thud, he didn't even try to get up afterward. Maybe it won't be so bad if he just lays there for a few more minutes. Falling off the bed caused a loud ruckus so it didn't surprise him when he heard footsteps heading to his room. (Y/n)'s door opens and Sukuna looks inside, worried.
"What the hell happened?" Sukuna asked, walking towards his twin. "Nothin..." (Y/n) mumbled as he peeled himself off the floor, sluggishly heading past Sukuna to get prepared for the day. Sukuna's brows furrowed as he watched (Y/n) become less joyful as the days went on. He also seems a little less active and energetic.
(Y/n) made his way to the kitchen, he didn't bother making himself breakfast, instead, he sat down at the dining table and used the table as a pillow. Sukuna, who has been following him, frowns as he sees (Y/n) in this state. Occasionally, he'd see (Y/n) touch the bandages that covered the healing wound on his face. It's clear he hated the scar that will most likely be permanent on his face.
"What do you feel like having for breakfast?" Sukuna asked as he grabbed a skillet. "Breakfast?" (Y/n) mumbled as he lifted his head up. "Ah! You don't have to make me anything!" He quickly said as he stood up, only to stumble from the sudden blood rushing to his head. "Yeah, your dumbass needs food, sit down," Sukuna orders, forcing (Y/n) to sit down in his seat. Sukuna went back to cooking breakfast for them, something nice and simple.
"Man... I can't even do this right..." (Y/n) grumbled as he pressed his cheek against the table. His eyes travel around the room until they land on the clock. 10:00 a.m., Saturday. "Gah! We're late for class!" (Y/n) exclaimed as he abruptly stood up again, smacking his head right into the low-hanging light above him.
"Will you relax! There's no school today!" Sukuna yells so (Y/n) doesn't hurt himself anymore. "There isn't?" (Y/n) mumbled as he rubbed his aching head, taking another glance at the clock to see the date. "Oh... Ehe... I knew that," he nervously chuckled. Sukuna sighed as he finished up breakfast and handed his twin his breakfast.
"Thanks..." (Y/n) mumbled as he grabbed the food and leisurely ate. Usually, he'd be consuming the food like it was water. He got halfway until he shakily placed down his chopsticks, head bowed down. "Hey... Brother?" (Y/n) called quietly, but loud enough for Sukuna to hear. Sukuna turns to him, stopping him from eating a spoonful of his food. "Yeah?" Sukuna asked, a little concerned. Okay, that's a lie, he's very concerned for (Y/n).
"I'm sorry for being a terrible brother... I understand if you hate me and- and want to never speak to me again. I can handle the club alone if you want to leave it..." At this point, (Y/n) was just rambling through stutters, as tears threatened to fall from his eyes. All this frustration and continuous bullying is starting to get to him. Sukuna slowly stands as (Y/n) is midway through his ramble. The eldest twin sits beside him and pulls him into a hug.
"Brat if I left you there, I would be more terrified and worried than before," Sukuna starts. "It may be a little over the top, but I feel at ease when you're near me and in my sight. I can breathe and relax that my baby brother is safe." Sukuna then ruffles (Y/n)'s hair. "And hate you? I could never hate you, I look up to you (Y/n)."
"Even if I almost ruin your relationship with Megumi?" (Y/n) asked again, a bit muffled by the hug, clearly still blaming himself. "Let me ask you this, have I or Megumi ever blamed you for that situation?" Sukuna asked, pulling back so he could make (Y/n) look at him. He could tell (Y/n) was doing his best to hold back his tears, as he quivered in his spot.
"No..." (Y/n) mumbled meekly as his eyes attempted to travel to his feet. "But I was the reason it happened, isn't it?" He argued, regretting not listening to his brother that day. "No, no you were not the reason I was the one who tried to get that stupid mushroom out of your mouth," Sukuna argued. "It happened because I overreacted."
(Y/n)'s eyes widen, realizing what his brother is doing. "It's not your fault at all!" He exclaimed as he grabbed Sukuna's shoulders frantically. "It's my fault I got you into the club. It's my fault I nearly got your relationship torn apart. It's my fault Mom and Dad hate you! Because Mahito said–" (Y/n)'s rambling quickly stopped as he quickly covered his mouth, looking terrified.
It was like a switch flipped, Sukuna went from a caring and reassuring brother to an angry and overprotective brother. He grabs (Y/n) by his shoulders, his anger not making him realize how hard his grip is. "What the hell is Mahito saying to you? Is this why you've been depressed lately? When did you two even start talking? Answer me!"
(Y/n) attempted to shrink away, getting more terrified, for two reasons. One, Sukuna is yelling at him and hurting his shoulder. Two, he fears what Mahito plans to do if he tells Sukuna everything. This was the turning point for his emotions as he started uncontrollably sobbing in anguish, fear, and overall stress. Weeks of keeping his emotions down immediately came flowing out.
Sukuna immediately loosens his grip as he sees (Y/n) sob uncontrollably. He buries his anger down and pulls (Y/n) into another hug. Unconsciously, (Y/n) leans into the hug as he sobs into Sukuna's shirt, his hands gripping the ends of the shirt as a way of comfort. "I-I-I'm s-s-so-r-ry..." (Y/n) managed to mumbled out through his sobs, almost sounding unintelligible. Sukuna hugs him close as he wipes (Y/n)'s tears away.
"You have no reason to apologize, you did nothing wrong," Sukuna reassures him. "And even if you did, it would never ever make me hate you, you're my twin after all. My baby brother." (Y/n) didn't say anything as his sobs started to die down but made no attempt to let go of Sukuna. "I-I wasn't... I wasn't sup-supposed to... Tell you," (Y/n) stuttered, trying to find his voice again as he started to calm down.
"Why?" Sukuna asked he wanted to ask his twin a million questions, but the way (Y/n) freaked out, he didn't want to do that to him again. (Y/n) hesitated in answering, he wanted to tell Sukuna everything, but he feared it would ruin Sukuna's life. "P-Phone, it's... It's on my phone," (Y/n) mumbled as he looked away from Sukuna.
On top of being verbally bullied, he's being cyberbullied by Mahito. He was told to delete everything, but he didn't, so he knows Sukuna can find all the answers he needs on it. Sukuna frowns and takes (Y/n)'s phone, afraid to find something awful on there. When he opened his phone he immediately went to the messages by Mahito.
"You're a failure" is the first message to pop up, and this was just yesterday evening. Scrolling up, it just gets worse.
"Your family doesn't love you."
"Your brother secretly hates you."
"You're better off dead."
"You're the reason Megumi and Sukuna nearly broke up" and so on. It hit every concern (Y/n) brought up to Sukuna to know Mahito was the root of it all. He stopped when he landed on a string of text, where (Y/n) responded back to Mahito.
"I will tell my brother you are doing this to me! He'll put a stop to you!"
"You think Sukuna would believe you? Pathetic!"
"Don't blackmail me for your insecurities, brat, or else I'll make both your lives living hell."
The string of text ended there, most likely (Y/n) had given up fighting back at that point. Possibly scared that he'd actually make their lives miserable. Sukuna would crush the phone in his hand if he hadn't tried to calm himself. Sukuna is beyond pissed, he's pretty sure if possible he would melt from how hot he is. How dare this sewer rat go after someone innocent? Is he that insecure to pick on someone who is a good, kindred spirit?
"(Y/n), listen to me, this is all bullshit," Sukuna hissed as he waved (Y/n)'s phone. "He does not have the power to ruin us, the only person who I know can ruin our lives is Satoru." (Y/n) shook his head as he backed away slightly. "He said... He'd tell Mom and Dad about... About the club," he mumbled with a few sniffles. Sukuna grips his face as he tries to think of any way to get them out of the situation.
"I-It's alright! I can pretend I never told you!" (Y/n) assured quickly, almost panicked. "We-we can pretend this never happened–" he said as he tried to reach for the phone, only to get cut off by his brother. "Fuck no," Sukuna hissed, pulling the phone back. Sukuna tries thinking harder then stands up from his seat as if he had an epiphany. "Why the hell didn't I think of this before," Sukuna whispers, his eyes widening as he gets an idea.
Sukuna turns back to (Y/n) and hands him his phone back. "Okay listen, I'll pretend this never happened alright? Whatever you do, do not let Mahito know you told me. Not for a while, okay?" (Y/n) takes the phone back, looking confused, but shakily smiles. "O-Okay..." He mumbled, unsure if he could handle more torment. But, if it's to keep his brother safe, he'd do it.
Sukuna runs his fingers through (Y/n)'s hair and pulls him close. "No matter what that bastard says, and I don't want you to start disliking this either, I will always be there to look out for you. Even if we're in our goddamn 80s, you're my twin and I will protect you until the day I die."
"That's a bit extreme, don't you think...?" (Y/n) meekly said, smiling just a little bit. Sukuna smiles back and ruffles his hair. "Maybe it is, but if I lose ya I am pretty sure I will be lost without you. Now, whatever this lab rat says, he is wrong. Whenever he sends a message, repeat these words in your mind. 'Mahito is wrong, Sukuna is there for me.' Can you do that?"
"I can try, I think..." (Y/n) mumbled as he nodded, though he didn't have high hopes of succeeding. "Oi, you better, or else, your Jennifer Lawerence poster is getting a pen mark on her face" Sukuna lightly threatens. "Huh?! You can't do that!" (Y/n) exclaimed, panicked for his poor poster. "Then you better repeat those words and I will know if you don't do it," Sukuna said, his eyes narrowing. "Okay, okay," (Y/n) said with his hands held up in surrender.
Sukuna leans into his hand and has a thinking expression. "Hey (Y/n), maybe you should hang out with Nobara and Megumi. It has been a while since you hang out with them," Sukuna suggests. "Maybe being with them will help you take your mind off of things for a while, they're your best friends."
"I can't just leave you alone to do nothing– I-I mean unless you want me gone! I don't mean to be clingy or a burden," he said frantically. "Are you kidding? You, clingy? I'm the one who can't leave you alone for more than ten seconds. If anything I'm the clingy one here," Sukuna said, chuckling.
"You don't have to lie to me, brother... I know you're just trying to make me feel better," (Y/n) murmured as he whipped his snot and tears onto his sleeve. "I'll uhm... I'll call Nobara and Megumi if I can hang out at their place," he mumbled awkwardly as he grabbed Sukuna's phone. "Excuse me?" Sukuna said offended. "Have I ever lied to you before? I tell it like it is (Y/n) and I am telling you I'm the clingy one here. Have I ever left you alone?"
"No..." (Y/n) mumbled meekly, unsure where Sukuna was going with this. "Exactly, as a matter of fact, I'm surprised you haven't told me to back off. I might be a burden to you." Sukuna sighs "sadly" as he leans back into his chair. "I'm sorry for burdening you (Y/n)."
"Huh?! You aren't burdening me! Why would you ever say that?!" (Y/n) exclaimed as he jumped up from his chair. Sukuna raises his brow as he waits for (Y/n) to try to understand where Sukuna is coming from. Sukuna flipped the script to show (Y/n) that he was trying to reassure Sukuna he was not a burden, but he was not even sure if (Y/n) would catch on.
"Listen, brother! You're not burdening me, you've never burdened me! I love you too much to ever want to push you away" (Y/n) said as he grabbed Sukuna's arms to get his point across. Right, Sukuna forgot (Y/n) has zero self-awareness and is painfully oblivious to social cues. "...(Y/n), never change," Sukuna said as he smiled at his twin.
"Eh...?" (Y/n) mumbled with dotted eyes, clearly confused. He was soon interrupted by his phone buzzing. "Oh! That must be Megumi, are you sure you don't want to join us? I'd hate to feel like I'm excluding you," he said worriedly. Sukuna shakes his head, yes, he is sure he doesn't want to be included.
"I have some unfinished homework from yesterday, I can do those," Sukuna lies easily. "I'll get them done early and then the two of us will go see that new horror movie tonight, alright?" "Really?!" (Y/n) asked excitedly, immediately perking up, he's been excited to see that movie for a while he just never found anyone to watch it with. Sukuna grins, seeing that bright light shine in (Y/n)'s eyes again. "You bet we are and I think I'll get three tubs of popcorn, what about you?"
"I'll get us slurpees and drinks! Oh! Maybe even a fourth tub! Then I'll get..." (Y/n) rambled off, as Sukuna tuned him out. All Sukuna can picture is wringing Mahito by his neck and stabbing him 28 times. But first, he needs Satoru and Geto's help for this one, he needs to make sure this doesn't spread around publicly.

"So why did you call us here?" Geto asked as he sat on the living room chair. He and Satoru were called to Sukuna's home unannounced, saying it was important. Satoru looked around, searching for (Y/n), who had recently left the house moments ago. "I called you here because that piece of shit tuberculosis rat has been harassing (Y/n)," Sukuna angrily muttered.
"English, please. Who is this tuberculosis rat?" Satoru questions, snickering a bit at the nickname. "Mahito," Sukuna said, the name already leaving a bad taste in his mouth. "That guy has been telling (Y/n) everything that happened at the club is his fault, that I find him a burden."
"Is that so?" Geto asked with a dark shadow covering his eyes. "I don't think I can let that slide, can you, Satoru?" He asked as he turned to Satoru. "No, I cannot," Satoru said in a dark tone, his blue eyes glowing in anger. "What's the plan, boss?" Geto asked as he turned back to Sukuna.
"I have no idea why I haven't thought of this before but Satoru, I'm going to need your help with the club, most specifically with the debt and Kyoya," Sukuna starts. "Mahito threatened (Y/n) that he would tell our parents about the debt we're in but if you could help pay it off that would get us into a secured spot, and I'll pay you back."
"No need, I got you covered," Satoru said as he whipped out his phone to begin the process. "I'm surprised you didn't take his offer before," Geto admitted as he propped his elbow onto his leg to support his head. "Well there is another problem, it would be on record that we owed that club money, I'm pretty sure if our parents found out and demanded to see it from the club all they have to do is hand over the evidence, paid off or not it will be in the files," Sukuna explained.
"I see... Now, about Mahito, what's the plan for him?" Geto asked, deciding to not pry further into Sukuna's personal business. "Exterminate the rat, preferably hang him from a noose and throw his body over the highway," Sukuna said, narrowing his eyes. "Wow, we can't let you do that," Satoru said, waving his finger. "Too many cameras and witnesses, you need to pick a secluded spot."
"I'm assuming you have a better plan?" Geto asked with a raised brow, earning a nod from Satoru. "Stab him, hide the body, no, wait! It's better to incinerate the body. Burn him at high temperatures so evidence won't be left behind," Satoru plans out different ways to hide Mahito's body. "How about this..." Geto said as he started to tell them the plan.
~~~
It was a dark and ominous alleyway, one untouched by the morning sun blaring on the people outside. This is where Mahito tends to hang out, as he finds it peaceful and a perfect hiding spot if he is ever ratted out. Only he and (Y/n) know where he is, if anyone else found him, he'd know (Y/n) told them.
Mahtio gave a chuckle as he texted on his phone, most likely another insult for (Y/n) to read. It was pathetic how (Y/n) deteriorated so easily. There was a text sent back by (Y/n) reading "You have one chance to leave the city or else your body will end up as pig shit."
"Oh?" Mahito said out loud, brows raised in alight amusement and confusion. (Y/n) had never been this forward before. Instead of responding back, he switched to the pictures he took, showcasing Sukuna's debt and (Y/n) and Sukuna's strange relationship in the club. Picking a picture, he sent it to (Y/n).
"Don't forget, I still have this. Don't threaten me, brat, or else."
"Already taken care of, you piece of shit."
"You're not the only one who can pull strings in this city."
"And what are you going to do? Kill me?"
"Yes"
Mahito snorts and texts back. "You don't have the guts brat, say goodbye to your twin." Just as Mahito sent that message there was a notification sound behind him. Before he could turn he felt a heavy blow hit against his knee. Doubling over in pain, he falls to the ground, supported by his hands and his uninjured leg.
"What the hell?!" Mahito cried as he turned around, but all he could see was a head full of (h/c) hair as the shadows blocked everything else. "(Y/n)! You insolent brat! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" He exclaimed as he used the wall to help get him back onto his feet. "(Y/n)" tosses the bat behind him and fiddles into his pockets.
"Wrong twin, you fucknut," Sukuna's voice is heard as he puts on some gloves. Sukuna steps out of the shadows as he glares a Mahito, anger in his eyes. "You're pretty ballsy for going after my twin, knowing it means your head will be on a stick." Mahito looked surprised, then quickly turned into rage. "That asshole ratted me out," Mahito hissed as he stumbled away from the wall.
"No matter, you're only one guy, it won't be hard to take you down," he said cockily. "He's not alone," Satoru's voice hums as he also appears out of the dark, from behind Mahito. "Someone has to take care of the evidence after all."
"Don't make too much of a mess you two, cleaning it up would be annoying," Geto lectured as he walked up next to Satoru, adjusting his black gloves. Sukuna scoffs, annoyed as his eyes never leave Mahito, as if looking away means he would get away from Sukuna's wrath. "He fucked with my twin, I want his blood staining these walls."
"You think you could just murder me and get away with it?! People will find out! (Y/n) would find out," Mahito argued as his eyes skirted around the area, trying to find an escape route. "He's right, murdering him is going to be easy on him," Geto commented as he looked between Satoru and Sukuna.
"I can always paralyze him from the neck down," Sukuna said, pulling out a knife. "It'll be easy. Hit his spine cord from all kinds of directions." Satoru practically skipped over to where Sukuna threw the bat and held it over his shoulder. "Let's break his other leg!" Satoru chirps as he swings the bat around like he's practicing.
"You're all crazy!" Mahito exclaimed as he backed away from the two, he was practically cornered. Geto, who was still near him, kicked harshly at Mahito's busted knee, sending him down to the ground. "Gah!" Mahito cried as he gripped his leg as if it would reduce the pain. When he peered up, he was intimidated by the harsh glares staring down at him.
"Stay back!!" Mahito exclaimed as he suddenly whipped out a knife, pointing it at them threateningly. Satoru grins as he lifts the bat and brings it down harshly against Mahito's elbow, earning another cry from the male. "Oh shoot I think that's a strike, I missed his leg!" Satoru said, pouting.
"You do have a shit aim," Sukuna mutters. Mahito let out a pathetic whimper as he scooted close to the wall. Sukuna walks close and kicks the knife away as he forces Mahito to lie on his stomach. He grabs a fistful of Mahito's hair and pins his head to the ground. "It would be so easy to end your life with a stab to your neck, but I want to make you suffer for what you did to my baby brother," Sukuna hissed, venom and anger in his words.
"Your brother deserved everything that's gotten to him, I just regret I couldn't do more," Mahito spat as he glared up at Sukuna. Without a word, Sukuna brings the knife to Mahito's face and starts carving into his cheek. He drags the blade across his face, to his lips, then to the other side of his face. Making a long gash, and without the support of his cheeks, Mahito's jaw hangs open.
"Ech, couldn't you have done that elsewhere," Geto said, cringing. "Oh! Oh! Let me burn his wounds closed!" Satoru said excitedly, like a child excited about a theme park. Sukuna reaches into his pocket and hands Satoru a lighter. "Have at it, we have hours to spare," Sukuna said, smirking as he took the knife down to Mahito's back. Ready to attack the spine.
This is when Mahito really started to squirm, attempting to kick Sukuna or Satoru away. But, the hold Sukuna had on him was strong and unmovable. "No! No! Don't touch me!" Mahito yelled as a bright flame got close to his face. "Say aaahh!" Satoru said as he gripped Mahito's chin with surprising force.
"Now if anatomy taught me anything," Sukuna mutters as he drags the blade up and down Mahito's back. "If I stab here then...." Sukuna stabs Mahito in his spine, ignoring Mahito's yells. "Awh, Sukuna, you made me miss!" Satoru whined as he accidentally burnt a bit of Mahito's eyelid.
"Huh, Megumi is calling (Y/n)'s phone," Geto said as he held up (Y/n)'s phone. "Aren't they hanging out or something?" Satoru said, completely calm about this. Sukuna mutters a few curse words. "They are, perhaps (Y/n) needs something?" Geto suggested casually, ignoring the muffled screams as Mahito tried to squirm away.
"Hm, he's still able to use his arms," Sukuna said, as he pulled out the knife. He drags the blade up and down his back again, humming a bit. "What if it's riiight here?" He stabs another part of Mahito's spine. A cry is emitted from Mahtio as his paralyzed leg jolts and accidentally kicks Sukuna in the shin. Satoru snickered at Sukuna's failed attempt to paralyze Mahito further. After continuous hours of torturing Mahito, Geto looks at the time as he wipes some blood off of his face. "Oh, Sukuna you should finish up soon!" Geto called, smiling as he motioned to his phone. "It's almost time for the movies with your twin!"
"Oh? A movie? Can I join?!" Satoru asked excitedly. "No," Sukuna immediately denies it as he can tell Mahito's life is going away. "Are we going to just leave him here?" Geto asked curiously as he stared down at the pathetic dying man. "No, I don't want anyone to find him, much less try to save his worthless life," Sukuna said as he gripped Mahito by the hair.
As he lifts Mahito's head he brings the knife to his throat and slices his throat. Casually, he tosses the body over at Satoru. "Ew! Why are you handing it to me?!" Satoru cried as he held the body away from him with a disgusted expression. "Just take care of its body while I clean up to get ready for the movies," Sukuna grumbles as he walks away.
