Chapter 30 - I love you more (J)
She is here. Anna..
My heart skipped a beat seeing her after almost a month.
I don't remember when I dropped my bags, when I ran towards her, when I pulled her close into my arms and when I started kissing her like my life depended on it; like it's my last kiss and I would never get to taste those amazing lips of hers.
I don't know how long we kissed each other like that – may be for an eternity or may be even long but I don't care anymore, now that she's with me; safe in my arms.
We pulled away from each other to catch our breaths and I whispered "Y-You are here?"
She looked dazed and flushed as she replied with her swollen pink lips "Of course I am here idiot. What do you think?"
"You are here!" I said again, trying to control my emotions but failed the minute I felt a traitor tear escape my eyes, falling freely on my cheek.
Her face softened at my sad face "Jace—Yes, I am here"
"I – I thought I lost you. I thought you left me. I—I thought I'd never see you again" I croaked as few more tears spilled out of my eyes.
I know she'd make fun of my crying later but I don't know how to stop them anymore; my eyes and brain betraying my orders to stop those tears.
"You'd never lose me" she whispered, placing a kiss on my forehead.
I took her face into my hands and peppered sweet kisses all over her face; not even a single spot was left on her face that wasn't touched by my lips.
Before removing my hands off her face, I kissed on her lips and looked into her eyes passionately "I love you Anna. I love you so much"
A tear escaped her eyes as she smiled "I know. But I am happy you finally understood that"
I know she loves me since she already confessed to me but I definitely didn't expect her to say this.
I pouted "That was not the answer I was expecting baby"
She chuckled "I love you too Jace but you already know that"
"I love you more" I whispered with a small smile keeping her tight in my arms.
"Are you going to free me anytime soon?" she whispered after few minutes of silence.
"No. I am not planning to" I said, kissing her hair.
"You are hugging me like a girl who hugs her teddy bear" she pointed out, mocking me.
"I don't care" I said, not letting her go.
"You are a charmer Jason William Samuels" she said with an amused tone.
"Only for you Anna Rosaline Haven or should I call you Anna Rosaline Phillips now"
"Aw... I love you Jace" she said, kissing my lips.
"I know you have a thing for my lips" I smirked.
"I have a thing for everything of yours" she blurted out.
Realizing how that sounded she blushed and closed her face with both of her hands.
I chuckled at her reaction "That's ok. You need not be embarrassed about anything"
"I am a fool" she stated, her hands still on her face.
"No, you're not. You are the smartest girl I have ever seen" I confessed, removing her palms off her face.
"And you are the sweetest boyfriend ever" she replied with a shy smile.
"I am your only boyfriend sweetheart" I smirked seeing her flush.
"Shall we discuss about the part where you disappeared all of a sudden?" I said, pulling her on to the bed.
I am happy that she's here but I know our problem is still not solved.
I wanted to know where she disappeared without informing me and what the hell was so important to leave me.
I also don't know which college she will be attending or how we are going to work on our relationship but I know one thing - I can't stay away from her. I would do anything and everything to be with her.
"I went to London" she replied with a sigh.
"What? Why?" I asked, confused by her confession.
"To see my dad. I wanted to know my family and also ask him for a help"
"But I called your dad. He said---"
"I told him to lie to you. I was beside him when you called"
"What help?" I asked slowly, remembering the last part of her statement.
She smiled "I wanted an admission in your college and I asked his help"
"And?" I couldn't help the smile on my face knowing where this conversation is leading to.
"Well, what do you think? He is well known and----"
"Are you serious?" I shouted, unable to hide my excitement.
"Yeah. He got in touch with the administration department and arranged for everything since I didn't apply. They seemed impressed by my credentials and accepted me"
"Really? I am so happy" I said, kissing her again.
I can't believe she is going to be at my university. We can be together now.
"But what department are you in?" I asked, suddenly remembering that she won't be attending a veterinary college like she wanted to.
"History" she said with a small smile.
"I am sorry" I felt genuinely sad that she had to leave her dreams for fulfilling mine.
"I said I will do anything for you Jace. Didn't I? " She said with a small smile "I will be happy as long as you are with me"
"We will find a nice place for you to stay. Somewhere nearby" I exclaimed in anxiety.
She chuckled "You want me to stay somewhere else? Not with you?"
"What do you mean? You want to stay with me?"
She cocked an eyebrow as if to say 'What-do-you-think'.
"We will find a new place then; something big and comfortable for you"
She smiled at me like she knew some joke that I don't but I kept staring at her, waiting for an answer.
"What's wrong with this place? You don't like it?" she asked thoughtfully
"I- I loved it actually. But I don't want you to be uncomfortable around Gabe's cousin's friend Steve"
"No one's staying here apart from me" she smiled, opening the closet that's half filled with her clothes and shoes.
I gasped in shock as she walked towards me and mumbled with a slight smile "Move in with me?"
"Really?"
I am sure Gabe would tease me about having a dreamy smile on my face if he sees me like this but I honestly don't care anymore.
"Yes. I came here early to find a place for us to stay and I thought this would be perfect. So, is it ok?"
"Anything's ok for me as long as you are with me" I stated with a happy smile repeating her lines.
"When did you become so romantic?" she smirked.
"When you became thoughtful" I answered.
A sudden doubt crept in my mind at her confession. "So if Gabe's cousin's friend doesn't stay here, then why did he--?"
She looked at me guiltily while I glared at her "Both of you planned this, didn't you?"
She nodded as I yelled "I am going to kill that bastard. I was writhing in agony and he didn't ---"
"Forgive him, please. It was my mistake actually"
"What happened? Now spill the beans, I want to know everything" I said giving her a serious look.
She shuffled uneasily "Before leaving I told him about my plans. I didn't want to tell you because I wanted to surprise you and I didn't want you to be hopeful too since it might upset you if I won't be successful. After staying with my dad for two weeks I came back here searching for an apartment. I thought of calling you but Gabe told me not to. He told that it will give you time to figure out about us. So I didn't, though it pained me so much"
I understood his plan now. Traitor.
He wanted me to suffer so that I will finally realize that I am in love with her. Will he ever stop meddling in my life?
"I still can't believe both of you lied to me, especially him. He saw me go through so much pain yet never once informed me. I am going to--" I turned around to find him. He must be lurking in some corner waiting for our conversation to finish.
"Please—forgive him for me" she pleaded softly which made me stop in my tracks.
I know I should blame her too but I just can't get angry at her.
"You lied to me too" I said, raising an eyebrow.
"I will make it up to you, I promise. Whatever you say" she replied biting her nails.
She looked so cute doing that. How can I be angry at her when she is so adorable?
"You will have to make out with me whenever I ask you to" I said, trying to look serious.
She gasped in shock but seeing my look quickly blurted out "I will"
"You shouldn't tease me with Gabe"
"What? That's tough. How's that possib--- OK FINE" she replied, glaring at me.
"Should never leave me alone again"
"Ok"
"Should never do things behind my back"
"Ok"
"Should never lie to me"
"Ok"
"Marry me"
"Ok--- What?"
Her eyes and mouth were wide open with shock while I smirked "Close your mouth babe, I am getting dirty ideas here"
She instantly closed her mouth before opening it again "W-What did you say?"
"I am sorry I thought of taking lessons from Elle when I'd propose to you few years later but now that I haven't---" Before I could kneel down, she interrupted "You already planned to marry me?"
What's with women and spoiling the most romantic moments?
"Of course I did. I knew you are the one I am going to settle with one day. I didn't know it would be this early" I said irratedly.
"You need not do that now Jason. We still have lot of ti---"
"No, I am going to do it now. In the weeks you were away from me, I decided I would ask you to marry me if I ever saw you again. And now that---"
"We are young Jace. It's a big responsibility and you need not---"
"It's not like we are getting married tomorrow. We still have a lot of time to think about it. Now will you please stop interrupting me? I am trying to be romantic here and you are not even listening. Please for once stop being a girl and don't talk" I said seriously though I wasn't angry at her.
"But I am a girl. How can I stop being one and isn't that why you wanted to marry me because I am a girl?" she teased.
I gave a look to which she smiled and gestured me to continue. Thank God, finally!
I knelt down with a slight smile. God!! Am I really doing this?
"You know I am unromantic and my proposal might be the crappiest you've ever heard but I want to try being romantic for once because you deserve one"
She smiled staring into my eyes and I continued "I don't know how to do this. So, I am going with the truth. I love you Anna. I have always loved you ever since the day I saw you in the store in your cute little sun dress with your drool sticking to your lips"
She blushed making me chuckle "But I was naïve, stupid and stubborn to not realize it then. I can't imagine my life without you and it's the truth. I can't stay away from you because then I won't just miss the girl I have fallen in love with but also my best friend who mattered to me so much.
"The past few days made me realize how important you are to me and I don't want those days ever again in my life. I will love you even if you squeal like every other girl, rant like my sister or even tease me like Gabe"
"I will bear every stupid thing you do and I know you are the only one who can put up with my mood swings and shit. You are the only one who can love me selfless not caring about the future you wanted as long as I am in it with you. So please for once and all, marry me"
She stared at me with her mouth slightly open but not a single word came out of it.
"Anna?" I tried to bring her out of the trance but she looked at me in astonishment.
"Baby.. Please say something. My knees are really paining" I said, wincing slightly.
How do guys give such long speeches in films?
I am still greeted with silence. For once I wanted a girl to talk, even if it is a single word but Anna is still looking at me like she can't believe I just said that.
I got up slowly and walked up to her "At least nod so that I can kiss you"
This time however I got a reply as she nodded and that's all the encouragement I needed.
Just as I pulled away from her lips, I heard a high pitched squeal "Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!"
I closed my ears and smiled at her reaction. Why can't she say that a few minutes ago? It would have been perfect.
"Don't you think you answered a little late?" I teased, grinning at her reaction.
"You caught me off guard" she said, wrapping me in her tightest hug.
"Who is hugging like a teddy bear now?"
"Oh, shut up"
Realizing that my proposal is indeed far from perfect I began slowly "I am sorry baby I didn't get you a ring. I promise I'd buy a ring as soon as possible"
"That's ok. I don't need--"
"Seems like I am right again" We heard Gabe from the doorway who is eyeing both of us with a smirk.
She pulled out of my arms slowly but caught my elbow before I could strangle that bastard.
He pulled out a blue velvet box from his pockets and threw at me which I successfully caught
"What's this?" I asked him eyeing the box.
"What do you think?" he said with a smug look.
I opened the box and found a familiar ring; the ring I selected for Gabe's uncle.
What the hell is happening here? Why is this ring with him?
"You knew I would propose to her?" I asked to which he nodded with a smirk.
That bastard. He made me buy an engagement ring telling it's for his uncle while I was sulking thinking about Anna all through the shopping.
"How did you know I would---" I trailed off, seeing him give the familiar smug look.
"What does he mean by that?" Anna asked with an amused smile.
I turned to her "It means I am your best friend and I know you more than you know yourself"
She chuckled and I felt my anger blow away at him as the realization set in. He knew I would propose to her the minute I see her and he didn't want me to do it without a ring.
Instead of buying it alone since he knew I won't accept it if he selected, he took me to the shop and made me select pretending it's for his uncle.
"Who's that person who pretended to be your uncle" I asked slowly unable to hide my smile.
He bit his lip trying to stop himself from smiling "My gardener"
"WHAT?" I screeched in horror as he burst into laughter.
"You saw him a couple of times actually; but that day you were sulking and didn't pay attention to him"
I smiled at him while Anna was looking at both of us in curiosity like she couldn't understand the joke we were sharing. Gabe explained to her what happened that day and she burst into laughter teasing me for being so stupid.
Taking the ring from the box I knelt again "So, will you marry me baby?"
"Of course I will, idiot"
She put her hand forward as I slid the ring into her finger.
"You won't stop calling me idiot, will you?" I asked with a grimace.
"Nope" she replied with a mischievous smile turning to my best friend.
"Thanks Gabe" she exclaimed, hugging him.
"Anything for the girl I love" he flirted, winking at me.
I chuckled "Now she's officially mine. Keep your hands off her"
"Your fiancée is the one who hugged me bro. Didn't you see?"
Fiancée. Wow, that sounded so good.
I heard someone clear their throat only to find Gabe giving me another look; something that meant 'I know what you are thinking'.
I cleared my throat "Hey, I will tell my dad to pay you for the ring"
"It's settled; don't worry" he replied
"What do you mean settled? Who paid for it?" I asked confused by what he said.
"Your dad of course" he smirked.
My dad? Even he knows about Gabe's plan? Pfft, so I am the only one who doesn't have a clue.
When I was silent he continued "I told him about my plan and he gave his card to shop for the ring"
"And what if I didn't propose her tonight?" I asked feeling stupid. I mean how the hell was he sure that I am going to propose to her.
"You did; didn't you?" he smirked again.
I glared at him and he raised his hands in surrender "I know everything about you. Get that into your head for once and all. I was the one who pushed your buttons with Anna, don't you remember that? And I was always right, wasn't I?"
"Fine. You are right" I walked up to him and hugged him whispering "Thanks"
"Now what will your fiancée think of this?" he questioned childishly.
Anna put a mock hurt look on her face and I chuckled.
I love this guy, totally.
"I love you too" Gabe replied grinning ear to ear.
Arggh!!! Won't he ever stop understanding me?
"I won't" he replied again much to my annoyance.
Anna looked at our one sided conversation with a confused look on her face. We didn't care to explain however.
Later that day, Anna and I explored the house. She wanted my opinion and so, I agreed. The house is perfect for the both of us. In fact, it is more than enough.
It had a living room which is spacious with a black couch, armchair and a big LED TV. It had two bed rooms; one for both of us and the other for guests – most probably Gabe, Elle or Emily.
I teased Anna for wanting to share a room with me but she quickly replied I can sleep in the guest room if I want to, which shut my mouth instantly. It also has a study room, a big kitchen attached to the dining.
Over all, I loved the house.
Since Gabe is sleeping in our room, we went to the living where I sat on the couch pulling her to sit on my lap.
"Thank you so much"
She looked confused "What for?"
"For coming here. I know you wanted to be a vet and it's---"
"I also wanted to be with you. You are more important to me than anything else and I know you would have done the same thing for me. Moreover, I love history and I can be a history professor one day like Robert Langdon"
"He is a fictional character" I replied chuckling.
"I know" she said sulking a bit.
"I love you" I mumbled, kissing her hair.
"Me too" she mumbled slowly, before adding "Thank you so much Jace"
It's my turn to ask her the same question "What for?"
"For everything. For standing up for me when you didn't know who I am, for advising me about friends, for believing me when no one else did and most importantly taking me back to where it all started and giving me a closure"
"Shut up, there's no need to thank me. I will do anything for you"
"Anything?" she replied with a happy smile
"Anything for my fiancée" I confessed.
She gave a sad smile "Since I can't be a vet, I want a dog"
"I am sorry about it. But a dog is fine for me"
With a mischievous smile she said "I want to name it Harry"
"What? Are you crazy?" I shrieked in horror.
She pouted "No, conditions apply"
"What if it's a girl?" Realizing how that sounded I added "I meant the dog"
"No, I want a male one"
"If you want to name it 'Harry' then we better don't get it"
"But you said you'll do anything" she whined like a 5 year old.
"Not a dog"
Her face looked pained and sad which almost made me give in to her demands. But before I could agree to her, she said "Fine, a female one is fine for me"
"I will get to name it" I chirped anxiously.
"No, I have a name in my mind. Hermy, you know shortcut for Hermione"
"Argghhh.. Please Anns, no Harry Potter anymore. Please"
"No, it's final" she decided with a grin on her face.
I thought of finally giving in but wanting to play along with her, I smirked "Remember babe, I am the one supposed to drop you at college every day. So if you want lift, you will have to listen to me"
My smirk dropped seeing her smile "Who said I want lift?"
"Your car was left at Lily's house; how can you go to college without your Ford?"
"Who wants a Ford when I have a Porsche" she smirked.
A what? She has a Porsche now? How is that--??
Her dad. I seriously want to kill that guy now; I was about to win an argument with a girl and that guy has to f**k it up buying a Porsche.
"So that silver Porsche in the basement is yours?" I questioned sulking that she got a new car.
"Yes" she smiled and continued "Now if you want to ride my Porsche, you'll have to listen to me"
She gave me 'The-tables-have-turned' look to which I smirked "Who wants to ride a Porsche when I can ride you"
Her face fell as her cheeks stained pink and I started laughing at her embarrassment.
She didn't say anything and lowered her head blushing, playing with her ring.
"Do you like the ring?" I asked slowly.
"It is beautiful. Thank you" she replied with a shy smile.
"I am happy; I even loved arguing with you" like a husband, I added in my mind.
"I was just playing with you; you can get whatever dog you want as long as it is a pup and not something like a German shepherd, I am scared of those. You can name it whatever you want" she replied with a shy smile.
Kissing her neck I mumbled "Anything's fine for me too"
"I-I know" she replied, shivering at my touch.
I continued kissing her neck all the way up to her chin, cheeks, eyes, nose and finally lips. She wrapped her hands around my neck tugging my hair with her hand while I savored her lips hungrily. I don't know how I lived a whole month without kissing her; I am definitely planning to make it up for those days as I decided to not let her go off my arms for a while.
However my resolution was broken the minute Gabe entered the room singing 'Kiss You' by One Direction very loudly that I am almost sure the neighbors would burst into our house.
He whistled seeing us which made Anna get up from my lap blushing but I reacted quickly and pulled her down again.
"When are you going back?" I asked him directly.
He put a mock hurt look and pouted "You want me to go? After all that I did for you?"
I nodded glaring at him "Yes. After all that you've put me through for a whole month"
He smiled sheepishly "I thought you'd never realize that you love her unless you thought you lost her"
"You put me through pain though you know I was dying inside"
"It was worth it. You are engaged now, aren't you?" He said with a smug look on his face.
"Shut up Gabe. Will you ever stop interfering?"
"That isn't 'interfering' best friend. It's called pushing" he said wiggling his eyebrows.
I continued glaring at him "So, when are you planning to go to New York?"
"I won't leave this place for another week. I don't know if the place would still be fresh the next time I come here"
"What do you mean by that? You think I can't keep it clean" Anna chimed in, looking annoyed.
"I didn't mean that darling" he said smirking.
"Then what do you mean Gabe?" she said with a scowl.
"Who knows what happens after I am gone. I am sure the next time I come here, you'd have s*x in almost every place of this house"
Anna's face flustered and she groaned hiding her face in my neck yelling "Get out Gabe"
He chuckled walking away while she muttered "I thought he was an angel"
"I am an angel baby" Gabe who still didn't leave the room and heard her statement yelled before locking his door giving us privacy.
"Is he always this embarrassing?" she mumbled slowly, her face still in the crook of my neck.
Chuckling, I replied "With me, yes. But if he is this forward with you then it definitely means he loves you and will do anything to protect you"
"I know that but I don't know if I am ready to see this side of him"
After a few minutes of comfortable silence she started slowly "Do you want to ask anything?"
"What?" I said confused at what she was trying to say.
"Umm about what G-Gabe said"
"Do you want me to ask?" I said with a small smile imagining how her face might be all flushed at my question.
"If you want to know, then yes" she replied shyly.
"I will wait for you" I said smiling making her sigh in relief and relax.
"But not long" I added making her groan while I smirked at her obvious reaction.
I pulled her hair to face me and smirked seeing her red. "Don't you want me to make love to you?" I said with a mock hurt look which made her blurt out instantly "No"
She blushed seeing my grin at how she was played but added "Can we wait till my birthday?"
I nodded with a grin remembering her birthday next month; she will be officially eighteen.
"My dad wants to celebrate it grand, he said he will come here with Fergie" she said looking ahead of her, lost in thoughts.
"What happened?" I asked slowly.
"I think I should call my dad that I am engaged and that you loved this place" she said cheerfully picking up my phone from my pocket.
I smiled loving the way she took mine instead of searching for hers going back to our room. That small gesture made my heart warm; I know she thinks what's mine is hers.
Remembering what she said, I asked "Your father saw this place?"
"Yup. He came with me to search for an apartment and finally zeroed on this one. I was skeptical but he assured me you'd love it; peaceful yet not far away from the city and university"
"He came with you?"
She nodded "Can't let my daughter wander alone in an unknown city; his words not mine"
"He paid for the house?"
"He took it on lease and didn't let me pay. He even gave me a card and advised not to work anymore. All I have to do is concentrate on studies and take care of both of us"
"I can't let him pay for me, he is---"
"I told him that you won't let him. But he said you are as much as a son to him as I am his daughter" she said shrugging off.
I am glad that he thinks of me as a son already but still, I can't let him pay.
I will have to talk to him about it. She called her dad and informed everything while I sat beside her playing with her hair. When I took the call from her and started about sharing the money, he didn't let me say anything and persuaded for ten minutes that I had to finally agree reluctantly.
After talking to him, I realized one can never say no to the father-daughter duo with the way they plead you to listen to them.
When Gabe returned from his room a while later, the three of us left the flat and wandered on the streets searching for nice restaurants.
I was happy to find a pizza corner, restaurant, bakery, pharmacy, men's saloon and convention store just five minutes' walk from our place.
After having food, we had our engagement celebration later that night where Gabe and I partied with drinks. I know Anna is scared of drinking, especially after what happened when Daniel got drunk and so I had only two beers, not wanting to scare her while she had coke.
After Gabe went to the guest room to sleep, we went to our room locking the door and I felt very happy to have her sleep beside me after so many days.
"Shall I call Emily?" Anna said raising her head from my bare chest looking at me while I was lying on the bed thinking about her.
"Why didn't you tell her when you left?"
"I thought I couldn't go if I saw her face. She is family now and I can't lie to her" she mumbled guiltily.
She took my mobile and called her number looking at it tensely.
"Hello Jason. How are you?" we heard Emily yell excitedly.
"Umm it's me Anna" Anna said slowly just above a whisper.
There was silence for few seconds until we heard a string of profanities from the other end. Anna closed her ears with both of her hands while I chuckled at her reaction.
"I am sorry. Please forgive me" Anna said innocently when Emily's yells subsided.
"You bitch you didn't even say goodbye to me" Emily shouted making Anna wince at her high pitched voice.
"Why should I say goodbye when I plan to meet you again" Anna said striking the chord making Emily gasp in shock.
We heard Alex from the other end who was asking her what happened. After few seconds she was back on the call and asked what is Anna doing with me.
I explained everything to her and told her to pass on the information to the whole group since I don't have the energy to repeat the story to everyone unlike Emily who'd be excited to do that as many times as possible.
However I had to copy Anna's reaction of closing ears when I told Emily that I have proposed to Anna who screamed excitedly and shouted her congratulations that for a minute, I was scared about Alex who might be shocked witnessing his girlfriend's madness.
"So you forgive me?" Anna asked again when Emily was silent only to get a reply "No"
Anna groaned beside me "What should I do to get your forgiveness? I will do anything"
"You can't buy me Anna" Emily said proudly from the other end.
"Are you sure?" Anna asked with a mischievous smile and Em replied "Yep"
"Then I guess the new Gucci and Prada shoes I bought for you when I went shopping would be waste. I thought of sending them with Gabe but---"
"REALLY?" Emily yelled excitedly making both of us burst into laughter.
"Yes, but only if you forgive me. After all, the shoes would look absolutely sexy on you" she chirped making me roll my eyes.
Emily Parker can never have enough shoes and I already know what her answer would be.
"YES YES YES. A million times yes" she yelled happily and we heard Alex panickedly say in the background "Baby!! Did someone propose to you?"
Anna and I laughed at Alex's misunderstanding and how Em told him to shut the f**k up. After talking for another few minutes, we disconnected the call and lied down sleeping.
Within few minutes my phone is bombarded with messages from Alex, Drake, Hunter, Kyle, Blaise and even Jamie. I wonder how she informed everyone so fastly. I thanked everyone for their congratulatory messages and was about to put it in silent mode when I got another message.
'Congratulations, take care of my daughter and tell her that she has lot to explain' – Lily
I smiled seeing Lily's message and replied back that I will always love her and protect her.
"Aww.. How sweet" Anna cooed seeing my message to Lily.
"Shut up" I replied smiling and added "That's the truth"
She hugged me tighter while I quietly mumbled "I love you baby"
She raised an eyebrow "Why do you keep saying that again and again when you never once confessed to me before. Are you scared that I will leave you again?"
Seeing her look at me in pity I began sadly "In the days of your absence, I blamed myself for your abrupt leave. I thought if I had told you that I loved you, you wouldn't have left"
"Oh, Jason. As much as I love to hear you say that you love me, I don't want you to do it in fear of losing me. Just remember one thing- I can't live without you Jason. I can never leave you because I love you so much"
We spent few minutes in silence, both of us not saying a word and not trying to sleep either.
"You won't drool on me, right?" I asked trying to make a conversation on lighter topics.
"I can't promise" she replied smirking.
I groaned "What do I do in your dreams that you drool so much"
"Don't think my dreams only consist of you"
I raised an eyebrow to which she lowered her head and replied "Ok. It almost consists of you"
"Do I always kiss you in the dreams?"
"May be"
"Why do you get those dreams when you get to kiss me directly?"
"I don't have control on them. Ok?" she said her face looking flushed for the millionth time today.
I chuckled "I am happy I still have that effect on you"
She grumbled annoyingly "I don't think it'll ever go"
"Stop being grumpy" I said biting my lip from laughing at her.
"Then stop teasing me with those questions" she grumbled childishly.
"Don't worry you have the same effect on me" I whispered in her ear making her smile and she touched her forehead with mine saying slowly "How did I get so lucky to have you?"
"Many times I wondered how I got so lucky that I got you. May be we think alike baby"
She smiled "You changed me and my life. I can never thank you enough for everything you did"
"Shut up. Just tell me you love me every day; that's enough" I said with a scoff.
"I love you sweetheart" she paused and added "I wish I can say how much I love you Jace"
I smiled that she finally called me with an endearment "I love you too Anns and I know exactly how you feel" and added with a smirk "Told you, you'd call me sweetheart one day"
"Good night Jace. I love you"
"Good night Anns. I love you more" I said yawning and she dipped her head on my chest falling into a deep slumber.
I smiled feeling happy that my girl is finally in my arms again.
I know we won't have a fairy tale future where everything will be alright but I do know that I can face anything as long as Anna's with me.
I feel blessed to have found love at a very young age when many people have to wait years or decades sometimes, yet don't find the one person they ought to spend their lives with.
I am lucky to have found Anna and I will cherish every moment of my life with her.
