Sheryaar's pov "Sher andar ajaye ham? (Sher, can I come inside?)" Choti ammi jaan asked as she knocked on the door "Ajaye, (come)" I replied and stood up to greet her I just sat down after taking a long and relaxing bath. It was much needed. "Apke liye khana laye hai, kha lijiye apki ammi ati hi hongi, (I brought food for you, eat it your mother will be here soon)" She said and kept the plate filled with delicious delicacies made by both of them "Shukriya, ap Humein bataye aj kya hone wala hai? (Thank you; can you tell me what is going to happen today?)" I asked her "Apke mamu jaan aur mami jaan arahe hai sathe Mein unki beti bhi ye to jante hai ap hai na? (Your maternal uncle and aunt is coming along with their daughter you are aware of that right?)" she asked "Ha hum to khush hai ki wo aa rahe hai usme kya burai hai? (Yes I'm happy that they are coming. What's wrong in that?)" I asked not understanding what is she implying Why is she focusing on that topic? Their arrival can't be a bad thing now, can it? They are her brother and brother in law as well after all. She took a long breath and told me everything that I needed to know. I smirked internally and tsked at her poor planning.I was aware of her desperation, but this much? I must complete this task today only. They're coming, which is good. She always has to defy them or make them repeat, but mostly it is with me. She is not an obedient or quiet girl, but other than that, she is really nice. "Apko Phuppo niche bula rahi hai (aunt is calling you downstairs)" she informed me with grumpy face I shook my head at her behaviour and started walking towards the downstairs, knowing well that she was following me. A grand celebration for our homecoming Interesting. " Hamare bete a gaye hai (my son has came) "Ammi jaan said loudly to gather the attention of our family members " Asalaam e waleykum, (greetings) " I greeted the people who were in front of me " Sher aj Humein kuch ailan karna hai, umeed karte hai ap khush honge ye janne ke bad, (Sher today I want to announce something and I hope you will be happy after knowing this) "Ammi jaan said " kya baat hai ammi jaan? (what's the matter mother?) "I asked her knowing everything well " Bhai jaan hum aj apse apne bete ke liye apki beti Amina ka haat mang rahe hai. Humein Amina behad pasand hai unhe hum apni bahu banana chahte hai. (Brother today i am asking for your daughter's alliance for my son. I like Amina very much i want her to be my daughter in law.) "Ammi jaan said and I looked at her amazed How easily she did that. " Ap sun rahi hai na ammi jaan ap kya bol rahi hai? (you are listening right what you are saying?) "I asked her narrowing my eyes " Apko Amina se Nikah Karna hoga Sher, hamne unke Walid ko apni zaban di hai aj bas ailan karna tha sabke samne (you need to marry Amina Sher, I have gave my words to her parents, today I just announced it)" Ammi jaan said "Thik hai hum karenge Amina se nikah (Fine I will marry Amina)" I said and my family members gasped hearing that My mother looked shocked as well, but that was just for a few seconds before a big smile replaced her shocked expression. "Par hamari ek shart hai (But i have a condition)" I added to stop the racing thoughts of my family members. "Kaisi shart Sher? Ap Amina se nikah karne ke liye shart kyu rakhenge? (what kind of condition? Why will you keep any condition to marry Amina?)" Ammi jaan asked angrily She did not like my words at all. "Ham Amina se nikah karenge jab ham Marium se nikah kar lenge aur usse Humein 10 auladein mil jaegi phir. Ab wo 10 auladein ane me jitna bhi Waqt lage apko intezar karna hoga nikah karane ke liye ap raazi hai is ke liye? (I will marry Amina after I marry Marium and have 10 kids with her and no matter how much time It takes for 10 kids to come you have to wait for the marriage to take place do you agree?)" I asked her " Ye kaisa ghatiya shart hai?" Ap aisa Keh bhi kaise sakte hai? (what kind of nonsense condition is it? How can you even say this?)" my mamu jaan means Amina's father shouted in anger " Noor kya hai ye sab? Tumhare parivar se kya Humein bas beizatti hi naseeb hogi? Pehle tumhari nanad aur ab tumhara beta sabko Humein bas beizatt karna hai. Hamari beti ke liye kahi rishtey aye hai par Humne tumhara rishta apnaya kyunki tum hamari behen ho Humein laga tumhare ghar me wo khus rahegi par ye sab kya hai? (Noor what is this? Will your family only insult us? First your sister in law now your son all just want to insult us. "Many marriage proposals came for my daughter, but I rejected everyone for your marriage proposal because you are my sister and I thought my daughter would stay happy in your house, but what is this?" My mamu jaan asked my mother who glared at me But I will not feel scared or anything because they called for it when they decided to fix my marriage with Amina without asking me and when they know I am betrothed to Marium. They deserve this. " Amina hamari behen hai aur behen hi rahegi kabhi bhi wo hamari biwi nahi ban sakti hai (Amina is my sister and she will stay my sister only she can never be my wife)" I told everyone very clearly "Ap hamari aise beizatti nahi kar sakte hai Sher. Amina me kaunsi kami hai? Wo us Marium se lakh guna behatar hai. (Sher, you cannot insult me in this manner. What does Amina lack? Compared to Marium, she is much superior.) Before I could say something negative, Ammi Jaan said,my patience had run out. I only left the gathering and entered my room. No one bothered me, and that is better for them only. My food was sent upstairs, and I ate it quietly. The next morning was not anything I was waiting for, but I had to face everyone. Breakfast was like torture; there was deathly silence, and I received looks from those around me as though I was the one who had done everything wrong rather than them. Amina and her family left yesterday. Only I felt bad for Amina because I know they must have fed her the marriage thing as well, and I broke her heart by rejecting her, but she is my sister, and she will understand that I only have romantic feelings for my jaan. Choti Ammi Jaan came to teach me how to stitch. It was difficult, but I tried my best to learn quickly. A few days passed and nothing changed in the house except for the fact that I learned how to stitch and, hiding from everyone, I made a sharara for Marium as well. I did the threadwork on the dress and dupatta (scarf) with my own hands. I do not know how it turned out, but I hope she will like it. I folded the dress, and inside it I left a letter for my Marium like every other time. Just a few more years jaan then I will be giving you everything on my own but little did I knew that after few years nothing would remain the same and the equation between us will change for forever *******************
