It was the next day since the attack on the agency. Most were doing paperwork, as others were cleaning up the place. Y/n was one of the people doing paperwork, and since most of his co-workers were help cleaning up, he had basically triple the amount of work to do.

Y/n let out a yawn as he was signing the paperwork given to him. He had already taken five obnoxious phone calls and only just started on the piles and piles of paperwork on his desk. And the worse part was that he wasn't able to go to the bakery today to get his favorite coffee.

"Hello, deary, you've reached the Armed Detective Agency." Y/n said into the phone, as it was in between his cheek and shoulder while he continued to write. "My name is L/n how may I help you?" As the call continued, he let out a few hums and okays. "Alright, I'll send him there right now. Goodbye now, deary. Ranpo, sugar, you can head out now!"

"Huh? Head out for what?" Ranpo questioned as he was relaxing in his seat, not bothering to help clean up the agency.

Y/n deadpan slightly. "Your murder case, sugar?"

Ranpo stared for a moment before let a cocky smirk takes over his lips. He leaped out of his seat and fixed his hat. "The city police are as lacking as ever, I see! They would never catch a single criminal without my support." He gloated. "My skill Super Deduction is the best in this agency... No, the entire country!! No wonder they rely on me so much! Isn't that right, sweet cakes?"

Y/n couldn't only sigh but give Ranpo a small smile. "Yes, sugar. I'm sure. But you don't want to keep them waiting for too long now do you?" He stated as another phone call was coming through.

Ranpo chuckled as he had stepped on a book on accident. "You're so right!"

"Uh... Ranpo..." A timid voiced Atsushi called out as he was just about to pick up the book to put it away. "...that book under your foot belongs on the shelf." He pointed out.

"Oh, my apologies!" Ranpo claimed as he stepped off of the book and pointed to the shelf for Atsushi. "Go right ahead."

Atsushi deadpanned. This guy wasn't helping at all, and no one is saying anything about it? This man was to be too cocky for his own good. At least, that's what Atsushi thought for a moment. He watched as Kunikida was the one to pick up the book, place it on the shelf, and even smile at Ranpo's unproductiveness.

"We'll be counting on you, Ranpo." Kunikida stated, actually calm for once.

"Most right, Kunikida!!" Ranpo pointed with a dorky smile. "You call yourselves a detective agency, but your powers of deduction are below that of a monkey! All of you merely live off the leftovers of my Super Deduction!"

"Yeah, it sure is useful!!" Kenji claimed as he was helping moving boxes. "Just use that skill, and you instantly know everything about a case!"

Kunikida nodded with a calm closed eyed smile. "Truly the ideal detective - No, in fact, the ideal skill user."

Atsushi watched in wonder and confusion as to why everyone was praising such a cocky man. However, he couldn't really do anything as he listened to every rant about how great Ranpo is and his skill. He sweatdropped at the amount of praise Ranpo was getting.

"Lad..." Kunikida called out to Atsushi, making the younger look at him. "...we have it all covered, so please go with Ranpo. IT will be a short trip by train."

"You want me to assist on such a significant case?!" Atsushi blurted out.

"Don't be silly!" Ranpo claimed as he made himself comfortable on Y/n's table, to which Y/n had to move his paperwork so that Ranpo could sit there. "I am no second-rate detective. Assistance is hardly necessary."

Atsushi looked at Ranpo with confusion, raising his brow. "Huh? So... what, then?"

Ranpo smiled. "I need someone to show me how to use the train."

Atsushi couldn't help but choke on his own spit and fall to the floor from shock.

Ranpo laughed at Atsushi's pain when he fell down, he then turned his attention to Y/n. "Sweet cakes, I'll be off then! You wouldn't mind if I take your little tiger with me, right?" He questioned.

Y/n only sighed. "Ranpo, sugar, you're going to be late." He said, "And no I don't mind if you take him, just be nice and don't push him around too much because he's new."

Ranpo smiled as he tilted his head. He leaned closer to Y/n as he pushed back the hair that was covering Y/n's eyes. (E/c) eyes squinted slightly at the brightness of the room as they stared at Ranpo with a raised brow. Ranpo only smiled as he gave a quick peck on Y/n's forehead.

"I'll see you later, sweet cakes!" Ranpo cheered, leaping off of the desk and grabbing Atsushi. "Don't forget to get me some of that cheesecake later!"

Y/n sighed as he fixed his hair back to cover his eyes. "Of course, sugar. How could I forget?"

Atsushi stared at what had happened as he was being dragged out of the agency. "What...? Hah? You just...? HOW?!"

"Atsushi, make sure you don't leave Ranpo out of your sights!!" Y/n shouted as a warning.

"HOLD ON!!" Atsushi cried out as he clung onto the door frame with Ranpo trying to drag him out. "You just let him, aRGH-?!" He choked on his own collar as Ranpo had yanked it.

"Let's go, rookie!! Off to show my greatness!!" Ranpo claims as the door of the agency finally slammed shut.

Y/n let out a small chuckle as he shook his head. Little did Atsushi know, Ranpo has been pecking his forehead ever since he came to the agency. The first few times, Ranpo was hesitant to do so and took Y/n by surprise. However, after a few years, Ranpo will not hesitate to show his kiss off to the whole world, and Y/n had gradually begun to accept it as a form of affection.

"Hello, deary, you've reached the Armed Detective Agency." Y/n continued as he was trying to sort out some paperwork that accidentally fell off due to Ranpo leaping off of his desk. "My name is L/n how may I help you?" He went silent for a moment before looking around the office. "Uh... please give me one moment." He pulled the phone away from his mouth. "Has anyone seen Dazai around??"

Teh whole agency went silent for a moment as they too started to look around the office. Suddenly the calmness of Kunikida wore off immediately as he began to shout and curse out Dazai's name out of frustration and anger.

Y/n deadpanned as he carefully went back to the phone. "Ah, well, your request will have to be hold off until next week, does that sound okay?" He paused. "Oh, of course. Yes. Wednesday 3:00 pm is when we're available next, is that alright with you, ma'am? Mhm... Yes. Okay, thank you. Have a nice day, dear. I'm sorry for the inconvenience." He then hung up.

Y/n put the phone back down as he watched as Kenji and Yosano was trying to calm down a very, very angry Kunikida. He sweatdropped as he noticed that Kunikida was pacing around the office, once again, shouting profanities to Dazai's name.

Y/n sighed as he stood up. "Kuni!" He shouted, and almost immediately, Kunikida stopped and turned to look at him. "How about I go and find Dazai, alright? You can stop worrying about it."

Kunikida couldn't help but irk. "But... But you already have so much work to do! And we have to clean up, and-and-"

Y/n was quick to hush Kunikida as he gave a stack of papers to Kunikida, the ones that he was assigned. "Here, already done. Now stop worrying and let me handle this. If you go, Dazai is only going to laugh and not listen. Just stay here and I'll take care of everything."

Kunikida was about to open his mouth to say more, but no words came out. He sighed and finally nodded, fixing his glasses. "Fine." He huffed. "But I'm still going to yell at him when he gets back here."

Y/n chuckled as he nodded, moving to the office entrance. "Of course, Kuni, do what you want. I'll keep you updated; I promise."

"Yes... Y/n..."

Y/n smiled before waving. "Good boy." And he left, leaving a blushing Kunikida where he was along with a few blushing members of the agency with the way Y/n said it.

"I wish he would call me a good boy."

"Shut up, Scott. We all want that."

"Fr fr, bro."

"Goddamn it, Dazai." Y/n muttered to himself as he wondered around the city with his phone out. "Making me go on a scavenger hunt for you..."

Although Y/n was texting Dazai, and going on a search for him, before he could even reach Dazai's destination, Y/n has to go on a huge hunt to different stores to find even a hint for where Dazai could be. It was starting to get exhausting, but it was also starting to be more fun as the stores go on.

Y/n chuckled to himself as he took a picture of the store he was in front of and sent it to Dazai. "Which store next... I can just hope that it's where he is." He sighed, "Kunikida will not be happy about this..."

Ding.

Y/n looked down at his phone and raised a brow at the text sent from Dazai, "Good job, my dear! Now, there's a certain place where you get your coffee from, but it's not around there. Instead, hop on the train! Go to the stop near the river and find your coffee waiting for you!"

"The train...?" Y/n questioned as he looked up and noticed that a stop wasn't too far away. "Whatever you say Dazai..."

Just like ordered, Y/n got onto the train, and got off at the next few stops. He wondered around for a moment with a coffee shop with the same name as the one he's been going to. He couldn't help but yawn since he was a little tired from walking around but only did this for finding Dazai.

"Oh?" Y/n mumbled to himself as he was in front of a coffee shop that was just like the one back at home, and a hot coffee waiting for him on a table with his name on it. "It's still steaming, Dazai was here just recently." He smiled. "Just one more stop and I've caught him, I'm sure of it."

Y/n quickly took a picture of the coffee that Dazai got for him and sent it through. He sipped on the coffee and smiled at the sweetness in it. Although Dazai had gotten his usual coffee a little wrong, he wasn't going to complain.

"Oh! You're faster than expected, haha!" Dazai texted. "Your next stop is where bees and butterflies always go to. A calm place where no one is at and I'm sure that you will love it! Come and find me!!"

Y/n chuckled at Dazai text since he was already in the flower field that he was texting about. In fact, he had already gotten enough clues that Dazai was at the flower field and caught Dazai just as he was about to leave.

Y/n shook his head as he pocketed his phone. He had already finished the coffee and was now, slowly walking up to an unexpecting Dazai. He silently laughed since Dazai was so confused that he didn't text him back.

"Why aren't you texting back?" Dazai questioned silently.

Y/n chuckled. "Maybe it's because I'm right here, dear."

Dazai could only sigh as he turned around. "You're no fun. You were here too fast..."

"Sorry, but I had to come get you. Kunikida is about to blow his head off because you're not at work today. He's just now calming down since I've already texted him that I've found you."

"You really are no fun, darling."

"Just doing the job, dear."

Y/n could only chuckle seeing Dazai playfully pout at him. He then shook his head as he listened to Dazai lightly complain about Kunikida before stopping and turning to Y/n to stare at him. Dazai suddenly looked at the ground and picked a few small flowers, then putting it in Y/n's hair.

"What's this for?" Y/n asked as his hair was now sprinkled in small wildflowers.

Dazai shook his head. "Nothing, just thought you looked pretty with the flowers." He claimed.

Y/n didn't say anything for a moment before smiling and a small blush covering his cheeks. "You're weird, Dazai."

Dazai only carelessly shrugged as he held his arm out to Y/n. "I guess it really is time to go, huh?"

Y/n smiled and took Dazai's arm in his hands. "Yes. I do have a lot of paperwork to finish, and you do too. You need to start actually doing your job."

"Bleh..."

"Don't stick your tongue out at me."

"Boo..."

"Dazai..."

"Sorry."
