Giyuu went downstairs and into the kitchen, where he saw a pile of ingredients on the table that hadn't been prepped yet. Hayashi was nowhere to be seen, but Papa Kochou was struggling to tie on an apron.

"Let me help you with that, uncle."

Giyuu quickly offered to help Papa Kochou tie on his apron. He could hear the old man chuckling as he helped him.

"Thank you, Giyuu-kun."

"No problem, sir." Giyuu shook his head and grabbed a black apron from the rack, checking to make sure it was his before putting it on.

Ever since he started dating Shinobu 8 years ago, Mama Kochou had made him a special apron to wear when he came over to cook so he wouldn't get his clothes dirty. He heard that when Hayashi started dating Kanae, she made him one too. But because all three of their aprons were made of black fabric, to avoid confusion, Mama Kochou had Kanae and Shinobu embroider their boyfriends' names on their aprons during their free time.

As Giyuu put on his apron, he noticed Papa Kochou standing by the door, peering out into the living room.
