Chapter 25 - I didn't dream of kissing you today (J)
The next morning I woke up with a wet chest; yes!!! literally a wet chest. I don't understand how she drools so much; she can even give competition to new born kids in that department. In the few times we shared a bed I didn't have this problem since we never slept in this position which made me think I should have listened to her and worn a shirt.
Using the comforter I wiped the wetness on my chest which made her stir in her sleep and she finally woke up when I tried to move her face. She got up rubbing her eyes and tried to set her hair that was like a bird's nest with hair falling freely in every possible direction.
"What happened" she mumbled sleepily.
"You were drooling. Was I in your dreams again kissing you?" I smirked.
That made her snap out of her daze and she groaned "You are never going to stop rubbing it on my face. Are you?"
I shook my head "Why would I when it is true?"
"I didn't dream of kissing you today, okay?" she scoffed and her eyes widened at the realization of what she confessed.
I smirked "Today? You mean you dream of kissing me every day? I didn't know——" My words were muffled as her hand closed my mouth "Shut up Jace. Don't continue what you were trying to say"
How can I say anything more when she closed my mouth? I licked her hand which made her pull back with a "Ewwww" when I smirked at her reaction "What should I say about the river on my chest baby?"
"I am sorry" she smiled sheepishly.
"That's ok. I am sorry too for making you drool in your dreams" I smirked seeing her blush.
She groaned "Please can we talk about something else?"
"We have a long journey to talk. Just go and get ready fast" I said looking at the clock.
She walked into the bathroom with her clothes and stuff while I pulled out my mobile seeing messages from Gabe, Emily, Elle, Hunter and Blaise; everyone asking about Anna. We told everyone that we'll be going to her hometown to meet her parents and so everyone was worried about her wellbeing.
I quickly typed that she is fine and we are starting back today and forwarded the same message to all of them waiting for Anna to come out.
Once she came out I looked at her appreciatively when I saw her wearing pale blue skinny jeans with a white sleeveless shirt.
"When did you get skinny jeans?" I asked looking at her legs.
"Umm two days back; Em made me buy these" she replied.
"You should start wearing them more, they look good on you" She nodded and I walked into the bath room only to find the lock of the door faulty.
"Anns. The lock is not working" I shouted trying to lock the door.
"I know" she replied coolly.
"You knew? You didn't tell me" I asked coming out of it.
"What would you do if I told you?" she asked with a sly grin.
"Umm may be I would've sneaked inside and shared the shower with you" I said smirking.
"That's why I didn't tell you" she mimicked me.
"Ugh!! So what should I do now?" I asked growing impatient.
"Just get in; no one's going to barge in there"
I smirked "Are you sure about that? I can't believe you especially after your confession yesterday about seeing me na—"
"Just go Jason!!!" she yelled to the top of her voice.
"Ok baby, I am going. No need to shout like a girl" I said leaving the room.
I heard her chuckle and shut the door walking into the shower. In fifteen minutes both of us are ready and we walked downstairs for breakfast.
When we didn't find anyone in the kitchen we went to the living room where we saw Ashton and Jo making out on their couch. Their legs were sprawled onto each other as they kissed like they are eating each other's faces for breakfast. His shirt was lying on the floor while her top was half opened revealing her red lacy bra.
"What are we going to do?" Anna whispered beside me.
Is she giving me a hint to kiss her? Lucky me. I smirked and pulled her face close to mine while she shut my mouth instantly and said through gritted teeth "I meant about them"
When she removed her hand off my face I pouted showing my disappointment making her chuckle.
"Shall we leave or let them know we are here?" she asked looking anywhere but them.
I smirked at the thought that crossed my mind and yelled to the top of my voice "AUNTIE!! YOU ARE HERE!!"
The couple having realized our presence ended up falling on the floor which made Anna and I laugh at their expense. Jo blushed trying to hide her face while Ashton who might be still angry at me about yesterday continued glaring at me.
Smiling, I raised my hands in defense "Sorry dude!! Couldn't stop that one"
"Where is Auntie?" Anna asked both of them.
"She went out for groceries shopping. Dad left already, he said he will call you later to apologize for his absence" Jo replied.
"That's ok. So——" she said looking at both of them with a big happy smile.
Both of them blushed as she added "So you are boyfriend-girlfriend now?"
"Yeah" Jo replied with a big smile and walked towards me hugging "Thank you Jason"
Anna cleared her throat which made her pull out of my arms and say "What was her reaction?"
"I thought she was going to break up with me" I grumbled uneasily which made Anna smack my head.
Anna crossed her arms looking between me and Jo "You could have told me, after all I am your sister"
"And spoil all the fun? No thank you" Jo replied trying to hide her smile.
Seeing Anna sad I wrapped an arm around her shoulder pulling her close to me "I am sorry I would never do that again"
She nodded still looking sad when I wrapped another arm around her "I am sorry baby. Please just forget everything"
"I-I just remembered what happened yesterday. I thought you don't like me anymore, you were—-" she rambled all her fears about yesterday choking back tears while I quietly listened to what she was saying.
Kissing her hair I said "It's never going to happen again I promise, now please smile. Please..."
She smiled which made me happy and I turned to Jo who was watching us with a smile of her own and tears in her eyes. I looked at her questioningly to which she replied "You two are very sweet; I mean you make a lovely pair"
"So do you and Ash" I smiled looking at the guy who managed to wear his shirt during our conversation.
Kayla came after few minutes and cooked breakfast for us. I sat beside Ashton and asked him about their relationship to which he said he is planning to take her on a date the next weekend. Apparently this guy liked Jo but he too didn't tell her about his feelings scared of losing their friendship.
I felt very happy listening to him talk about Jo and even apologized for my behavior yesterday though it was not necessary. He thanked me for everything and I felt very happy that I played Cupid, Gabe would be so proud of me; in fact I knew exactly how he felt when he tried to get me and Anna together.
After having breakfast we left their house bidding goodbye and giving promises that we would be coming back soon. I gave my number to Jo and Ashton and told them to keep in touch who agreed giving their own numbers to me.
"Why didn't you tell Kayla about Daniel?" I asked Anna once we left their house.
"I will tell when the right time comes. It's hard to digest everything; you know, in a single day" she whispered.
"I know" I mumbled knowing exactly what she felt.
After few more minutes of silence she mumbled "I want to see Emily"
"It will be night by the time we reach her. Is it ok or shall I do a video call?"
"I meant Emily Swift" she said looking at me in the eye.
"No way, I am not going to let you meet that bitch. She is evil" I replied angrily.
"You wanted me to have a closure Jace; I am going to end her chapter now"
I agreed unwillingly and we made our way back to Anna's city.
We knocked the door at Emily's house which was opened by a guy few years older to us. I immediately understood who he is – Jonathan. His eyes narrowed into slits seeing Anna and I instantly stood in front of him as if to protect her if he attempted anything stupid. However Anna stood beside me facing him looking confident.
"Why are you here?" he snapped looking at her.
"Can we come in?" she asked him holding my hand.
"How dare you come here after everything you did?" he glowered as she walked inside ignoring him pulling me with her.
"I want to see Emily" she said calmly.
"You bitch —" he started and instantly I shouted "Say another word and I am going to slit your throat"
He looked taken back as I continued glaring at him "Call Emily Swift and we'd be out of your house as fast as possible"
He still looked shocked while the bitch Emily ran downstairs probably hearing the commotion just as another middle aged woman walked into the room.
"You— " Emily started looking at both of us.
"YES!! ME!!" Anna snapped looking at her. I squeezed her hand in assurance which made her look at me and I nodded to continue what she wanted to say.
"What's your problem Emily? Won't you ever leave me? Won't you ever let me live peacefully?"
"I won't" she sneered "You ruined our lives and I am going to ruin yours"
Her mother who looked between Emily and Anna started "Emily!! What did you do? Why—"
"Stop it mom. I don't know what Emily did but I am sure she did something the bitch deserved" Jonathan glared looking at Anna.
I tried to move to kill that bastard but Anna pulled me back with tears in her eyes as she said "It's my fight Jace. I will—-"
"It's not yours alone baby" I interrupted looking at her.
She smiled sadly just as Emily snarled "You are still with her? Didn't you realize what she is worth even after everything I told you?"
I turned to her and spat angrily "Yeah thanks for that. I realized she is worth everything and that she loves me. I don't need a pig mouthed slut to tell me how my girlfriend is"
Jonathan growled "How dare you call my ——"
"Are you feeling bad that I didn't call you anything, asshole?" I spat looking at him with a sneer.
Anna chuckled beside me which made me smile too in spite of the serious situation we are in. Just when the guy was about to pounce on us their mom said "Why did you come here Anna? After all these years?"
"I want your daughter to stop interfering in my life Jane. I am not that innocent girl anymore; I won't let her walk over my life like she did earlier. This HAS to stop" She snapped looking at the three of them.
"I won't—-" Emily started.
"Oh you should" Anna growled. "You should stop blaming me for what happened to your dad because I was more affected by it than your family"
"You deserve that after killing our dad" Jonathan glared at her.
"I don't deserve anything asshole. It is your dad who deserves to be in the deepest rings of hell for everything he did" she snarled at him and I was never more proud of her than I am now when she called him 'asshole' which I totally agree he is.
"He did nothing" Emily retorted angrily.
"Ask your mom if you want to know the truth. Ask her if your dad wasn't addicted to drugs, ask her if he didn't try to rape me, ask her if she didn't beg me to hide it from you"
"You are lying bitch" Emily glowered, tears falling from her face.
"How dare you accuse my dad of that?" Jonathan fumed rubbing his sister's shoulder to comfort her.
"It's not accusation. Its truth, ask her" she snapped looking at their mom who didn't say a word as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"You are lying, just like those newspapers which told my father was guilty. Y-You are lying" Emily croaked still glaring at both of us.
"She is not" Their mom finally said surprising all of us. "Everything she said is true. I didn't want you to know about your dad so I made up stories that everyone else is lying. He did drugs; I fought with him for so long to take him to rehab but he never listened. And he did try to rape her that night which made her kill him out of self-defense."
Both the siblings looked at their mother in shock while I turned to Anna who looked relaxed.
"Why didn't you e-ever tell us?" Jonathan asked recovering from the shock first.
"I know how much you loved and trusted your dad. I wanted you to think of him as a good person, as someone you'd look up to and so I-I lied to you"
Emily was still in shock while Jonathan walked towards Anna, his eyes replacing the anger with pity and guilt and I stood in front of him again "Don't you dare come near to her"
"I—I wanted to say sorry.. I-I really am sorry"
"We didn't come for your apology, stay away from my girl" I said angrily.
He retraced back feeling guilty and I turned to Anna "Shall we go?"
She nodded and we turned to walk away just as Jane yelled "One minute Anna"
We stopped and she walked towards us "I am sorry for everything, please forgive us. I didn't know Emily——"
Before Anna could say anything I retorted "I am sorry Ms. Jane but I won't let my girlfriend forgive your daughter- EVER. You don't know what she did to her. Anna had to leave her own hometown because of Emily. She left everything she had and ran from one place to another; even then your daughter wasn't satisfied and tried breaking her all over again. I know it's not my place to say this but I will never let her forgive your daughter or your family"
Having said that I pulled Anna with me ignoring the pained look the woman gave and walked to my car making my way back home.

Telling Anna to sit at our table during lunch I walked to the new guy in the campus who's been in our school since a week. I was worried about Anna last week that I didn't get time to meet Drake Meyers, the guy who Gabe fancies.
"Hey, I am Jason" I said giving my hand to Drake who was sitting alone with his brother.
"Hi, I am Drake and this is my brother Alex" he smiled giving his hand.
"I know the two of you are new to school. Why don't you join our group for lunch?" I said.
They looked at each other trying to get each other's approval while I added "It's going to be fun, come on"
Both of them nodded and we walked through the tables ignoring people's suspicious looks which clearly meant 'What are these new guys doing with him'
Once I reached our table I announced "This is Drake and he is his brother Alex, they are new to our school and they are going to be our friends"
Everyone started introducing themselves to both of them while I looked at Gabe whose mouth is still open with shock etched on his face.
"Hey, it's you" Drake said looking at Gabe with a happy smile.
"Hi" he mumbled shyly "Sorry!! I thought of meeting you ever since the day you came here but couldn't with our own problems"
"Never mind dude. I am happy to see you; been hearing great things about you"
I smiled seeing Gabe blush; they both continued talking while I turned to look at Anna and Emily who are having dreamy smiles on their own faces just like Gabe.
I cleared my throat to gain their attention to which Anna blushed "Umm.. Sorry!! That guy was hot; I couldn't keep my eyes off him"
"I have to agree to that girl, I mean they are really HOTT" Emily chirped still looking at Alex.
I narrowed my eyes at Anna "You have a boyfriend Anns and he is sitting right beside you"
"What? I can't appreciate beauty now?" she said with a sly grin.
"No, you can't unless it's me" I stated.
"Why? Is that so? What would you do if Megan Fox or Scarlet Johansson stood before you? Will you stare at them or will you just look at me?" she replied still smiling enjoying my insecurity.
"That's different" I said trying to sound firm.
"Don't mind answering that. I would do the same if I saw Bradley Cooper in front of me"
"Hey—- you can't compare Drake with Bradley Cooper. It's like you are trying to imply Drake is hotter than me" I grumbled impatiently.
"You are hotter than any of them, my sweet cutie pie" she replied in a childish tone making Emily burst into laughter grabbing the attention of everyone onto us.
I almost threw up hearing her endearment, sweet cutie pie? What the hell was that?
I would die of humiliation if she called me that in front of others. In fact idiot seemed million times better than that.
"Don't-Ever-Call-Me-THAT" I scowled while she smiled obviously enjoying my humiliation.
"I won't again. Sorry" she said seeing my look and whispered "I know Drake is gay"
Before I could say anything Emily whisper yelled "Are you serious? What about Alex? Please don't tell me he is gay too."
I looked at her trying to understand what she meant. Why the hell it matters to her if Alex is gay unless she—she fancies him?
"Don't worry, he's not. But he is a year younger to us, still junior" I smiled
"Doesn't matter to me if he's young. He is Mine" she replied looking at him dreamily.
Anna chuckled while I took her hand into my own "Did you do that to see how I would react" I asked her implying the dreamy smile I saw on her face.
She nodded "I knew he is gay once I saw the look Gabe gave him but I wanted to tease you for all that you did with my sister"
"I said I am sorry" I whined.
She smirked "But I didn't lie when I said he was hot"
"Yeah, whatever" I said trying to hide my smile. I know she's playing with me.
Elle was questioning Drake about his life at New York while Alex was quietly munching his food.
"So, Alex. How is school?" Emily asked looking at him anxiously.
He seemed surprised but replied almost instantly "It's great. I loved it"
"Did you like any girl here?" she asked directly to which he yelled "WHAT?" looking shocked.
When she repeated the question he replied "No!! But there is this girl who tries to make a move on me during Math classes"
"Would you like to go out on a date with me?" she asked all of a sudden making me choke back the water I was drinking.
"Em!! You can't ask a guy you just met to take you out on a date. And isn't that a guy's job, asking a girl out?" Anna mumbled quietly beside her.
"I don't care who has to ask first; More over I won't wait to see the guy I like dating some bimbo right in front of me" she said coolly.
"No, but you just met him. You can't—-"
"Stop it Anna. I don't want to waste months like you and Jason did if I can know now" she replied softly.
"So what do you say Alex?" she said looking at him who stared at her with an amused smile as she added "See boss, I like you. You are hot, I am not going to deny that and I want to give US a chance before some other girl can ask you"
When he didn't say anything she continued "Look!! Jason has Anna and Kyle has Elle and soon your brother is going to have Gabe" Drake blushed seeing Gabe at that "now you would be the only guy without a girl and besides that I like you, so what do you say?"
"What about me and Hunter? We don't have girlfriends too, stop playing with him Em" Blaise scowled looking at her.
He turned to Alex "Don't listen to what she says dude, she—-"
Before he could continue, Alex replied with a smile "Yes!! I would like to go out on a date with you not because I will be left alone" He paused "I like you too Emily"
She grinned at his reply "This Friday?"
He nodded still looking amused while she said "I will pick you up at your house then. At 7"
Anna and I looked confused at what just happened. Did Emily really ask the guy to go on a date with her? And is she going to pick him up on their date?
"Ok then I am going home" Em announced getting out of her chair while Anna pulled her down whispering "Why do you want to go home now?"
"Because I want to do shopping, I have a date remember?" she whispered back.
"But it's on Friday, today is still Monday" Anna said looking at Em like she's grown a pair of heads.
"Yeah, but I haven't been on a date since forever. What if I don't find the perfect dress today?"
We both looked at each other trying to understand her madness when she mumbled "Anna!! Why don't you come with me? You can help me with shopping"
She shrugged still looking confused as if saying 'fine' while Em went to dump their trays in the bin. I gave a quick kiss to Anna and told her to message me once she reached the Mall.
"I am not going to kidnap your girlfriend Jason, she is my friend too" Em droned impatiently.
"I know but it's the first time she is going there" I retorted.
"We already went there for buying Christmas presents. Don't worry I'll be fine" Anna said giving me a reassuring look.
"Call me if you have any problem. Shall I come there after school is over? to pick you up?"
"I have a car, remember?" Em said glaring at me.
"Yeah fine, take care" I said and hugged Anna kissing her forehead.
"See you later guys" Emily waved walking towards Alex and gave a quick kiss on his right cheek.
His eyes almost popped out of his sockets as he touched the spot she kissed and smiled at her.
"See you" he replied with a smile on his face just as the girls walked away from us.
