AUTHOR'S NOTE
Sinong mag-aakala na makakarating na tayo sa dulo? I started this series with uncertainty about whether I could finish the first book. But here we are at the end of the last book in the series.
Noong sinimulan ko ang Dagger ay gusto ko lang ng mundo na makakahinga ako. I've been writing the same series for years, and in the last year when I was still writing BHO CAMP, I was really struggling. I was going through things that made it hard to write again. Kada magsusulat ako pakiramdam ko wala na iyong kasiyahan na nararamdaman ko dati dahil sa mga rason na hanggang ngayon ay hindi ko pa rin magagawang malayang sabihin. Pero alam ko na marami sa inyo ang may ideya na kung bakit.
It came to a point where I decided to stop writing. Baka hindi para sa akin ang pagsusulat, baka hindi para sa akin 'to, baka tama sila na hanggang dito lang ang kaya ko.
But then Dagger came, and it's like I'm going into the beginning and starting again. Halos walang nagbabasa pero nag-e-enjoy ako. Hindi ko alam kung matatapos ko, pero tinutuloy ko. I didn't even plan on publishing it or anything. I just want to write it. The way I wanted to write BHO before without any expectation. Iyong ginagawa ko lang kasi doon ako masaya.
My love for writing started with BHO and it continued with The Camp, I fought for that love with BHO CAMP, and when I lost it along the way, I found it in Dagger.
BHO CAMP paved a lot of opportunities for me, there's no doubt about that. I will always feel grateful for those who supported its journey. And while I didn't create Dagger for any reason except that I wanted to write it, that I felt like I had to write it, Dagger opened new doors for me. Pintuan kung saan magagawa ko ring dalin ang BHO CAMP na akala ko unti-unti ng nawawala sa akin.
The path of writing for me wasn't easy, and yet it was worth it. The decisions I made in the past, the happy moments, the sad ones... all of those brought me here. And I wouldn't have them any other way.
Just like with Luna and Magnus, everything happens for a reason. It has ups and downs, it has smiles and tears, it has grief and happiness—it's all part of a greater plan.
Luna and Magnus had a beautiful life, not just because of their love for each other but also because of the people around them. The same way that my writing journey became beautiful because of all of you.
Thank you for opening your hearts to my characters and their stories. Thank you for spending years loving them as much as I do. And most of all, thank you for being part of the greater plan that has been written for me and my books.
